Tim Kemple is an award winning visual creative and founder of Camp4 Collective. Tim is a master storyteller that can seamlessly switch between motion, photography, written word, and design to connect audiences to the wild places and the unlikely heroes of this world. Through this experience, Tim is able to work seamlessly with brands and agencies that seek to thrive outside the walls of the traditional studio.
Tim’s love of storytelling was born on expeditions to the remote corners of the globe. Working alongside professional athletes to document first ascents (and descents) in harsh environments he learned how to build teams in a less is more fashion that still infuses his production approach today. Using classic film techniques combined with modern technology, Tim attempts to create images and story that connect emotionally to die hard fans but have the power to cross over to mainstream audiences. The proof of this is in his own social following and the consistency his clients repeatedly call for his services. Further, his festival films have won numerous awards including being featured on the Banff World Tour, Vimeo Staff Picks and the winning at the European Outdoor Film Festival. As a short form and commercial director he has worked on campaigns for Apple, Genesis, Metallica, Johnnie Walker, The North Face and more. These campaigns have been widely acclaimed including nominations for an Emmy (Best Commercial) and winning at the Clios.
In addition to capturing incredible imagery, Tim has become a go-to expert for creative brand building. He has led design and copy teams to refresh the visual language for brands like Merrell and Wolverine and helped Dicks Sporting Goods launch their new outdoor store, Public Lands. He has consulted on new product launches for Black Diamond and The North Face and others he doesn’t have permission to talk about :)
